There is no best air fryer for everyone: there is the one that fits your kitchen, the people who eat at your home and your budget. Instead of a closed list of models that changes every month, here are the criteria we use to compare and how they apply to each profile. When you look at specific models, these are the same criteria you should compare them by.
The six criteria that matter
- Usable capacity. How many servings fit in one batch without piling the food up; overcrowding is the most common mistake and it makes results worse.
- Type. Single basket, oven style or dual basket. Each format cooks differently and takes up a different amount of space.
- Power and energy use. You can read it on the label in watts. More power doesn't always mean better results.
- Cleaning. Removable basket, nonstick coating and, if the manufacturer says so, dishwasher-safe.
- Noise and size. It matters in small apartments and open-plan kitchens. Look for reviews based on real use.
- Warranty and spare parts. A brand with local support saves you trouble if something goes wrong.
What to choose for your situation
- You live alone or as a couple. A compact single-basket model is usually enough. See the guide to air fryer for 1 or 2 people.
- You cook for a family. More capacity or a dual basket lets you make a main and a side at the same time. See air fryer for families.
- You want to do it all, including baking. An oven-style model gives you more surface area on trays.
- Budget matters to you. Prioritize capacity and cleaning over features you won't use. Compare the price per usable litre, not just the total price.
How to compare brands
What we won't promise you
We don't publish rankings with made-up scores or "best price guaranteed". Prices change at the store where you buy, and some links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Before buying, always check the final price and conditions in the store.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best value air fryer?
The one that covers your real capacity needs and is easy to clean, without paying for features you won't use. Compare the price per usable litre and the warranty.
Is a dual-basket air fryer better?
If you cook two different things at once or for several people, it does make life easier. If you almost always cook for one or two people, a single basket is usually enough.
Should I buy the most powerful one?
Not necessarily. More power heats up sooner, but it also has a higher maximum consumption. Choose according to capacity and use.
